Will converting to AVIF keep my SVG's transparency?
Yes. AVIF supports transparency, so any transparent or background-less areas in your SVG carry over cleanly.
Will my SVG's sharp edges and flat colors render cleanly?
Usually, especially if the AVIF is encoded losslessly. If the conversion uses lossy AVIF encoding instead, some compression artifacts are possible on flat colors and sharp edges, similar to what JPG can show, though generally milder.
